Pomfret Mancher Jhaal

    • Pomfret fish cut in half- 2 nos
    • Salt: to taste
    • 2 tbsp turmeric powder
    • 5 tbsp mustard powder
    • 4 nos green chilies
    • Oil: 5 tbsp
    • 1 tbsp Kalonji seeds.
    • 1 tbsp red chilli powder.
    • Clean the fish and cut them into half. Apply turmeric and salt to them.
    • Grind mustard seeds to paste with green chilies, salt, tomatoes and water.
    • Heat oil into a pan. Fry the fish well and keep it separate.
    • Add kalonji in the remaining oil, 2 green chilies. Make a paste of 1 tbsp turmeric powder, add red chilli powder and 2 tbsp water. Add oil and keep it stirring until it becomes dry.
    • Just add mustard paste and then keep on stirring until its dry. Add water and simmer it. Add fish and cover it until the fish is cooked well.
    • Serve hot with rice.
