Butter Garlic Prawn Rice

    • 1 cup basmati rice – soaked in water for 20 minutes
    • 1 medium sized onion – finely chopped
    • 3 garlic cloves – flakes removed and chopped
    • Black pepper powder – according to your need
    • 2 tablespoon parmesan cheese
    • 1 tablespoon butter
    • 1 tablespoon olive oil
    • 250 grams prawn – cleaned
    • 1/2 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
    • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
    • Black pepper powder – according to your need
    • Salt to taste
    • 1 teaspoon garam masala
    • 1 tablespoon dry oregano
    • Marinate prawn with ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, pepper powder, salt, garam masala and dry oregano. Keep it aside for 10 minutes. Cook basmati rice in enough water for 10 minutes on low-medium flame till rice is cooked well. Drain the water completely and spread rice on a plate.
    • Heat butter and olive oil in a skillet pan. Now,add chopped garlic and cook till it turns golden brown. Add chopped onion, little pepper powder and salt to taste. Now, add marinated prawn and cook it covered on low flame for 10 minutes or till prawns are done.
    • Check for the salt and spice and adjust accordingly. Now add cooked rice and Parmesan cheese. Mix well everything and let it cook for another 2-5 minutes. Serve hot with tomato – chili sauce or any Manchurian gravy.
